Rites of Passage
This should be done during the waxing Moon, as close to the full moon as possible, as this is a time of a new beginning. The waxing moon is the period of tine between New Moon and Full Moon. The members should write out a dedication oath for their own Book of Shadows, when you finally complete your own Rite of Passage initiation, please post your name on the "Rite of Passage" post in the Ravens Gate Forum.
Initiation
You will need Blessed Oil, Salt and a White candle. If possible do this ritual Skyclad. Ground and center yourself, say a short prayer to your God or Goddess, or the Lord and Lady. In your own words. Sprinkle your salt, and stand in it, dress your candle with the blessed oil and light it.
Say:
"I (your magical name) do here by accept Ravens Gate as my Coven, the members of Ravens Gate are my Brothers and Sisters, and I will do everything in my power to uphold my commitment to myself, my Brothers, my sisters, and my Coven. I will participate within my Coven, help new members, and share my knowledge as needed. I will do this without judgment of others. I will respect any and all paths, as I'm true to my own, and know my Brothers and sisters will be true to theirs. I do this of my own free will. As I say, So mote it be."
