To make rose water, you will need:
Small saucepan
2 cups of water
1 tsp sea salt
1 cup of fresh rose petals, or 2 cups of the dried
Glass jars with lids
Large bowl
Spoon
Strainer
Large coffee filters
Place your water in the saucepan and add in the salt. Bring the water to a boil and then add in the rose petals. Allow the water and roses to boil for two minutes and then turn them down to a simmer, and cover. Allow the brew to simmer for about fifteen minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool for about five minutes before you try to strain it. When it is cooled, place the coffee filters in the strainer to catch any of the smaller particles that might be in the water. Hold the strainer over your bowl and carefully pour the mixture into the strainer. The bowl with catch your water and the paper lined strainer will catch all of the roses.
Rose water can be bottled and used in spells and rituals for love, peace, purification, and healing. The whole roses that are left over can be used as offerings, buried in the earth, or both!
I recommend not storing this longer than a week or two. It can go bad quickly if not stored in a cool, dry place. Always label and date your rose water so that you ensure freshness!
