Wanting to know if love spells work is one of the most common questions I get asked about witchcraft. And it is a valid question, though it can apply to any type of spells, not just love spells. But anyway, the simple answer is "yes". Of course love spells work or no one would ever perform them. But that is just the simple answer and there is more to the story.
Love spells are trickier than most because they directly involve another person as well as a range of strong emotions. Magick can only do so much against that. Especially if you are a novice.
The main problem is that people cast love spells that are not realistic, hoping to have someone who has no feelings towards them at all sudden fall passionately in love. Besides the obvious fact that the love is not real anyway, it is nearly impossible to make it happen in the first place.
You will have better luck if you are trying to influence something that is already forming, or to help improve what is already there. Strengthening an existing relationship, or helping to find someone who will naturally fall in love with you are two examples of love spells that are better chances for you.
Whatever specific spell you are doing, make sure to take the time to do it right. Rushed spellwork or your own inattentive focus will spoil most attempts. Do not let your feelings get in the way of what you are trying to do, which is a big issue with any kind of love magick. If you spend your time daydreaming about your crush and your future romance, then your energy is not on the spell itself (where it should be).
So as long as you are not trying to move mountains and are genuinely putting out the proper effort and attention with your love spells, then they definitely should work. Just make sure to keep your eyes open to see the results. It may not always be exactly what you were expecting.
