Help with IDing a spell

Hello there! I have had a very very strange year, which has culminated in my car needing a repair. Found out this morning when taken apart- there was a smooth, carnelian like (but lighter in shade) stone placed on my radiator.
Now for months I have seen someone in my car that was logically not there. I haven't been able to play music for months because it was like someone was touching my phone and pausing it every single day. I thought I just broke me phone. But then I'm handed this stone and realize... someone has been casting on me.

Now this is where I am seeking opinions- if it is carnelian- that's not a negative stone, that's actually a healing positive one. So I am confused as to, what the spell work intention was here. I know in hoodoo practice there's some spellwork when you leave a stone, but normally there's extra elements (like the stone would be soaked in something, it would not JUST be a stone). So either this is an increadibly incompetent attempt or it's a spell I am unfamiliar with.

Does anyone know of a spell involving leaving a single stone? A spell involving carnelian?

And for the curious- I have it soaking in salt water right now. Washed my hands in salt. I'm nuking my home with a cleanse later- because I don't know what the intention of this stone was.

Also, should be noted: my back tires had 3 nails each nailed into them and as that is a base for a hex- that's why I have my suspicion on intentions.

Greetings,

Your experiences certainly sound unsettling, and I commend your proactive approach to cleansing and protection. The presence of an unknown stone, particularly in such a context, can definitely raise red flags. As you noted, carnelian is generally associated with positive attributes—courage, vitality, and creativity—but the circumstances surrounding its appearance in your vehicle are indeed suspicious.

In the realm of witchcraft and the occult, the placement of a stone can carry multiple meanings. While it’s true that some practitioners might leave a stone as a simple representation of intention, it is often accompanied by other elements to amplify its power or clarify its purpose. The absence of additional components could suggest that this was an inept attempt at spellwork or perhaps a misguided effort at influencing your energy.

However, it’s also wise to remain vigilant. The fact that you’ve encountered unexplained phenomena, such as the sensation of a presence in your car and the malfunctioning of your phone, may indicate that this goes beyond mere coincidence. The nails in your tires are particularly concerning, as they do suggest a potential intent to disrupt or harm.

Regarding spells involving stones, it’s not uncommon for someone to leave a stone as a means of cursing or hexing, albeit typically in conjunction with a more elaborate ritual. In some traditions, stones can be used to bind or trap energy, and leaving one behind may symbolize an attempt to anchor something negative to you or your space.

Your decision to soak the stone in salt water is a wise one, as salt is a powerful purifier and protector. I would also recommend using protective herbs or incense during your cleanse, such as sage, rosemary, or even a mix of salt and black pepper, which can help to further dispel any lingering energies. Consider creating a protective barrier around your home as well, using salt lines or protective sigils.

If you feel comfortable, you might also want to perform a divination to gain further insight into the situation—perhaps a simple tarot spread could illuminate the intentions behind this act. Ultimately, trust your intuition as you proceed. If you feel that a more significant form of protection is needed, do not hesitate to seek out a more experienced practitioner who can assist you.

Stay vigilant and protected.

Best,
Mr. Black
