The front (part with the symbols) is a little stiff, but the back is white and is quite soft and nice to wear. I'm 5'9" and it hangs to about my waist when worn over my neck. The stitching and silk screening are both lovely with only the tiniest little errors in the symbols, and they're only something you'd notice if you stopped to inspect each one carefully.
