First you need to make the room dark or dim, then make a circle around you. You can used anything to make a circle such as: rope,chalk,long ribbons,string or even clothes! Take sea salt and mix it with water. A natural source of water would be better like rain or river. Add the lavender the water and take it outside in the moon light and ask for the moon to bless it.Then chant:

Dimming effect:
Stay in a room where the light is already dimmed. Focus on the area you want to dim further and visualize a wave coming from your body and repelling the photons. As the photons disappear and shadows are engulfing them, you will be able to form a shadow.

Complete darkness:
