Break Away

Cut nine pieces of yarn. Tie each piece forming a circle. Give a name that's holding you back. Wrap around your wrist. Say: "_____ I have carried you long and far. Your burden has been my teacher and I accept your lessons. Now I summon the strength to release you for your presence serves me no longer."

Take the Athame and begin cutting through the circlets. As you cut away your symbolic bonds imagine yourself separating your actual bonds. When your bonds are cut put them in the cauldron saying: "I send you back to the dark mother to be consumed by the flames. You are purified and changed forever reduced to you pure and simple essence. I send you back to the mother and away you will go that something new and blessed will grow."

When the flame subside and the cauldron cools take the ashes outside and let the wind blow them away.
