I`ve been into magic and wicca for long time..I started slowly, with reading books, meditation, dream recall and eventually astral projection, which happend only once and it was horrified I must say, but spells never had affect on me. I guess it takes time. And practise. But Im not giving up. I really belive in magic, an maybe now I dont see results, but eventually, I know I will.
I do belive in God. But on my own way. It maybe sound lame, but since I started doing banishing ritual of the pentagram, I feel more secure, like pentargam really protects me.
