#531 - Connect Yourself to the Sea (A Knot Magic Spell)

This spell is to assist in the connection a sea witch has to the ocean.
You may need:

  • A bowl
  • Sea water
  • Sea shells
  • (Optional) Crystals associated with the sea
  • Blue or white string

    Get a bowl, and some shells if you have them; if not, crystals that remind you of the sea work. A jar of sand could prove useful too, you know. Add some sea water to the bowl - if you have it, or a mixture of tap water and sea salt suffices.

    Grab a piece of string, long enough to wrap around your wrist once and still have excess hanging - blue or white is preferred, but pick whatever color makes you think of the sea. Put this in the bowl of sea water, making sure the water soaks in to the string completely. Wrap one end around your left wrist; hold the other end in your non-dominant hand, and point it towards the nearest ocean. Say / think something like:

    Even though distance separates, I am connected to the sea.
    Though my ears do not hear your waves, I feel them in my soul.
    Though my feet do not grace your sands, they ground and comfort me wherever I go.
    Though your waters do not dampen my skin and hair, I carry water within me at all times.
    I am human, and water; I am one with the sea.

    Modify this however you want, or write anything to suit your needs, or don’t if you can really focus on being bonded and forever linked to the ocean on your own.

    Really focus on that connection to the sea; if you need to, close your eyes and do a visualization / meditation of you being at the sea as you do this, to further enhance that. Imagine connections from the ocean into your body. Feel the ocean all around you, and inside you. Do whatever you need to, to enforce that feeling of connection within yourself.

    When done, make a bracelet out of the string and wear it as long as you can. Repeat as necessary (i.e, if you need to take the bracelet off for whatever reason or it breaks).

    For an object: tie the string to an object instead, preferably one that won’t be harmed by salt or water, because, you know; change the chant to suit your needs, or again opt it out if you don’t find it necessary.

    #532 - Paper Charm to Heal a Heart

    This is a simple spell to help assist in the healing of another's heartache; it can also be performed on the self, if desired.
    You may need:

  • A square piece of paper
  • A writing utensil suited to your paper
  • Scissors
  • A candle and something to light it with
  • A fireproof dish
  • (Optional) Herbs relating to healing and love
  • (Optional) Crystals pertaining to healing and love
  • (Optional) Glue or tape
    • Share   
         
    You may need:

  • A square piece of paper
  • A writing utensil suited to your paper
  • Scissors
  • A candle and something to light it with
  • A fireproof dish
  • (Optional) Herbs relating to healing and love
  • (Optional) Crystals pertaining to healing and love
  • (Optional) Glue or tape

    This spell is best performed either at dawn or during the night; on a Monday, Thursday, or Sunday; from the waxing to full moon.

    Light the candle. If you cannot use candles or have open flames, don’t worry about it.

    If you opted to use crystals, set them on a flat, even surface, and place the paper between or before them. Write the target’s name on the piece of paper (full is preferable), and draw a sigil over their written name to assist in the healing of the heart.

    White paper is fine, and lined works in a pinch, but feel free to use any colors that you associate with healing (e.g. blue or green), or love (e.g. red or pink). Alternatively, you can color on the paper or draw more symbols of love and healing on it before continuing on.

    Fold the paper into an origami heart, or just cut the paper into a heart shape.

    If you opted to fold the paper into a heart via origami, you can fill it with herbs to use as a sachet for a boost of energies.

    Hold the heart-charm in your hands and concentrate on the person. Focus on sending them feelings of love and healing. Fill the heart with positive energies, and the intent that your target will heal from their heartbreak and be able to feel all of the love that still surrounds them. Do this for as long as you feel is adequate for the charm to be charged.

    You can either seal the charm and gift it to your target, or burn it to release the feelings and energies to send to them; if you are not able to light fires or use candles, tear it up into small pieces and give them to your target or allow the wind to carry it away (bonus points if the wind happens to be blowing in the direction of where your target lives).

    If burning the charm, you can set it in a fireproof container and drop a match onto it. Alternatively, you can set a corner of the charm into an open flame, then quickly put it into a fireproof container to finish burning. Ensure that the fireproof dish is also set on a fireproof surface that will not heat up. If you opted to use herbs in the charm, depending on how dry they are, the charm may simply smoulder and not completely catch on fire, and this is fine. Continue to burn it as much as needed before it is completely burned or singed, then dispose of the ashes. They can be released into the wind, kept in a vial or sachet and gifted to the target for further energies, or merely thrown out.

    Remember to always practice appropriate fire safety when working with candles and burning paper!

    Be careful if you filled the charm with herbs and you decide to burn it- ensure that the herbs you chose are safe to be burned!

    This spell was handed down to me by my great-grandma, who visited me in a dream to pass this treasured spell to me. It is a spell to strengthen the bond between you and your significant other. This spell is a sacred heirloom to our family, please give credit to me if you post this spell somewhere else.

  • a few drops of your favorite perfume/cologne
  • belief in yourself, your partner, and magick
  • love for your partner (the stronger the love, the better the spell will work)
  • a photo or memento of your partner (or simply good memories of spending time with them)
  • a bowl

    1) Visualize you and your partner being together and happy throughout your lives. Let the love and feelings for them flow freely. Suppressing those emotions could negatively impact your bond with your partner.

    2) Bless and anoint the petals with the perfume, still visualizing you and your partner.

    3) Lightly place your lips on each of the petals, sort of like a kiss. Then after all the rose petals have been ''kissed'', say this chant/ prayer: ''Great Mother Goddess, I pray that you are listening to my cry. Great Goddess almighty, I beg of you to strengthen the bond between (their name) and I, and in return I shall be eternally grateful. High and mighty, beautiful and kind Mother Goddess, please make our love grow stronger and thrive with your divine gracious blessing. Thank you, Mother Goddess. For this is my will, so mote it be.''

    4) For extra assurance that the spell will work, thoroughly let the petals dry out somewhere safe. When they have been fully dried, crush the petals into tiny bits and put some of the crushed rose petals into a glass vial (the ones for jewelry) along with rose or rosehip oil. Glue the stopper in so none of the liquid gets out, put the vial on a necklace chain or cord, then give it to your partner so they can wear it always.

  • Carnation petals (optional)
