With the first and middle fingers, trace a pentagram over the object to be protected. Visualize electric-blue or purple flames streaming from your fingers to form the pentagram. Say this as you trace:

Protection here both night and day.
And the one who should not touch

Choose an element from below:

• fire- take the candle (lit)say "fire,element of warmth,let me control you"
• water- take the water and say "water,element of moist,let me control you"
• air- take your wand/athame and say "air,element of storms,let me control you"
• earth- take the stones/herbs and say "earth, element of nature,let me control you"
• ice- take the ice cube and say "ice,element of cold,let me control you"
• darkness- at night say "darkness,element of the moon, let me control you"
• lightning-take the battery and say "lightning,element of electricity,let me control you"
• light- at daytime, say "light,element of purification and power, let me control you
• beauty- take the lipstick and say "beauty,element of vanity and cosmetology,let me control you"
• metal- take the metal nail and say "metal, element of construction,let me control you"

Chant:

Set out all your items.Take the small velvet bag and put the stones in.Say "for protection" and put them in. Next,take the catnip and mix it with the fur. Say "for playfulness and happiness" and sprinkle it in the bag.

Now, take the rosemary. Take it apart leaf by leaf. Say "from me to (name of cat)" and put it in.Take the paper and pen/pencil and write a little message/blessing to your cat.it will get it in its mind if it thinks of you. bless it with candle magic and think of him/her as you do.

When you're done say 'blessed be ____" and put the paper in.

Find a nice peaceful environment were you won't be disturbed for a good period of time. Close you eyes and begin to meditate and remove all negative emotions and thoughts from your mind.

Once you feel peaceful start imagining there are spiders crawling around you, weaving a web around your body. Stay calm and believe that these spiders are your companions. Stay focused on the web until you can mentally feel it wrapped around you, cocooning you.

Once this is done you may go on your merry way protected from those with negative afflicting auras and from being affected by others emotions.

Beforehand
Start at 9 PM. Find a good room that can only be entered though a door(in other words, not an open room)and has at least one window. A bedroom is fine.

Open all windows in the room (Do not open windows if it is raining, freezing outside, etc. Just make sure the moon shines though.

Exit the room, tightly locking the door behind you. Don't enter the room for 3 hours. (make sure no one else enters either!)

To Perform
It should now be 12 AM. Reenter the room you locked earlier. Sprinkle salt into the shape of a pentacle. Place each candle in its designated spot. (Counterclockwise from top: Soul, Air, Earth, Fire, Water)

Light each candle. Sit cross-legged in the center of the pentacle, facing the Soul candle. Close your eyes. You must be completely relaxed to perform this correctly, so mediate for bit, until you feel you are relaxed.

Picture the positive energy as a glowing white ball of light. Now imagine yourself. Imagine the negative energy as a black slime dripping out of your pores into a puddle on the floor. After all the negative energy has left your body, imagine the ball of positive energy being absorbed by the negative energy, turning it into white, positive energy, creating a new, bigger ball of energy. Imagine the ball spitting up into sparkling dust, covering your body. Some people feel a bit of tingling throughout their body. This is normal. After you have absorbed the energy, open your eyes.

After
Blow out the candles in the same order you lit them. Leave the room, being careful not to break to pentacle or knock over any candles. Lock the room.

Return to the room at noon. Clean up all the salt and the candles, disposing them immediately.

Cut the bark, branches, leaves, and stubs off of the stick. Shape it to look like a wand (wide to narrow). Make a septa gram with the candles. It should look like this:

• Yellow
• Blue Red
• Green White

Stand in the middle of the septagram, holding the stick in your dominant hand ( hand you write with). Turn to the yellow candle and say, "Spiritus eros pellentesque hoc saeculum saeculi virga potentiae. Amen/omen."

Turn to the blue candle and say, "animalia maris, lignum hoc saeculum saeculi virga potentiae. Amen/omen." Turn to the green candle and say, "bestiis terræ, et dabit lignum in saeculum saeculi virga potentiae. Amen/omen." Turn to the white candle and say, "et volatilibus cæli, et ei in saeculum saeculi virga potentiae pellentesque. Amen/omen." Turn to the red candle and say, "flamma ignis de virga vires dabit lignum in saecula saeculorum. Amen/omen."

To turn it back to a normal stick, say, "consummatum."
