Sit somewhere quiet. Clear your mind. Look at the picture. Study it, then close your eyes. Now visualize the person in the picture. Then imagine yourself doing something with this person, this can be anything, like dancing with this person or even kissing them. Focus on this. It may take a while. You will know it worked when you can feel what this person is feeling.
You and your friend (or family member) will think of a place you know well what you will look like and think about this place while half asleep (even in sleep). Meditation before helps more by clearing the mind.
Fall asleep still thinking about where and what you'll look like and if your friend (or family member) does them same you'll meet in the dream. If it doesn't work try many more nights don't give up.

1)ascertain (find out) how good you are at meditation
1.5)depending on how good you are is going to decide if you
use one or both hands in the next step
2)take your index and middle fingers and place them one

2.5)Once that is done decide who's mind you want to read and
focus on them
3)Now while focusing on the person also focus on the question
