#472 - Sacred Art: Wind Moving

A simple guide to making the wind blow in small gusts, more for fun. When training, I recommend that you go somewhere where no one will bother you, like a field or something.
    You may need:

  • Time
  • Lots of patience
  • Concentration
  • A wand or staff (for more power, optional)
  • Share

So you're interested in making the wind move as you wish?
When you first start this art of ''wind moving'', nothing may happen. However, the wind may just start to blow a tiny bit, not enough to be noticed. If you keep practicing, you'll find that it's easier to make small breezes, though it may take a while and you'll have to concentrate well. If you choose to use a staff or wand, concentrate on the staff/wand instead. Tell it to make the wind move at your command, and it should. Once you get really good at this art, you can stir up a gust of wind just by moving your hand in a small sweeping motion!

Light candle and burn match fully over it. Crumble the charted wood into ash. Put ash in white cloth and bless it with this:
    ''Ashes, essence of fire,
    Serve as an amplifier
    For this amulet''
Suspend stone over flame and chant thrice:
    ''Red stone, color of fire
As my element is the same,
Imbue this rock with (candle attribute)
And be active when I call your name.''
    *choose name*
This amulet works best if your element is fire.

    #475 - Winter Storm Spell

The intensity of the storm is reflective of your control and personal power, so that factor may vary. You can get a few flakes or a full blizzard.
    You may need:

  • Handful of paper snowflakes
  • Concentration
  • Snow Quartz, Snowflake Quartz and Bloodstone
  • Pocket-size bag (light blue or white)
  • Optional- personal gemstones or incense
  • Share

It has to be cold enough for snow unless your personal power is extremely high, but even then you may completely bewilder everyone in the area.
Take the paper snowflakes, hopefully ones that actually look like snowflakes, and sprinkle some outside. Put the rest in the bag. add the stones and the incense to the bag, and sprinkle some incense on the scattered snowflakes.Concentrate on the snow, and will clouds to come and drop flakes on the area.

    Helpful Hints
    Perform on a full moon
    Perform at night
Perform when a snow warning is already in place
Perform with a group of other Wiccans

Place the elfen picture down with the candle in front of it. Meditate for five minutes or so, then light the candle. Look into the flames and visualize yourself as you say:

"Gods and goddesses of nature and fire,
Make me a fire elf and make me part with the fire element
This is my will and let it hapen so please mote it be"

Say that just only one time.

The size of the bowl kind of depends on when you want the sunny weather to kick in, so choose a dish after reading the whole spell. Fill the bowl with rainwater, and add a few pinches of salt. Not coarse sea salt, but regular fine-ground salt. Set the bowl in a window sill, or on a table near the window. Place the candle nearby and light it. Repeat the following:

    Rain, rain go away
    Come back another day

Yes the words are a bit cliche, but they do sum up your intentions nicely. Let the candle burn for at least an hour, or let it burn until it's done on its own. The weather will start to clear up as the water evaporates from the bowl. When the dish is dry, it will be bright and sunny out again. e

    #478 - Storm Spell

Weather and the power of Mother Nature herself is stronger than any human so I can't say that any of these spells are guaranteed to work.
    You may need:

  • • A sprig of broom
  • • Sea salt
  • • Water
  • • Wooden spoon
  • • A red candle

Now, for this spell you need a piece of the broom plant, NOT an actual broom you sweep with. You may have to check herb suppliers, florists or plants shops to find it. There really isn't a substitute for broom in a weather spell.

Light the red candle and pour water into the bowl while you say:

Rain that brings a land's rebirth
Time to weep upon the earth.

Use the spoon to stir up the water, then dip the piece of broom in. Repeat:

Winds shall follow, you shall see
    Blowing wildly through the tree

Envision a storm growing in strength and power. Let a few drops of hot wax from the candle fall into the water, and say:

    Lightning quick, lightning long
Make it last, make it strong

Add in the salt to seal the spell and stir again. Give it one last stir, and take it immediately outside and toss it all into the air (you can hold on to the bowl). Don't let the water settle down before you throw it. Now you can expect a storm to start brewing on the horizon within a few days.
