Perform the following divination on Midsummer Eve: Run three times clockwise around a cherry tree full of ripe fruit and then shake the tree with all your might as you repeat the following charm:
Cherry tree, I shaketh thee,
Cherry tree, pray tell thou me
How many years am I to live?
By fallen fruit thy answer give.
At the precise moment that you utter the last word of the rhyme, remove your hands from the tree. Count the number of cherries that have fallen to the ground while shaking the tree, and they will reveal to you what age you will live to be.
Some diviners interpret the number of fallen cherries as an indication of how many more years one has to live.
First get your cat to sit in front of you, completely still. Next tap it three times between the ears to make extra sure the spell works. Then chant:
''Tail of Rat,
Wing of Bat,
Allow this Cat to Chit Chat.''
You might need to repeat this a couple of times if your cat does not remain completely still.

For everlasting youth, this spell must be performed when the moon is full.
Go outdoors and light one black candle. Take a chalice of water to which you add salt, and two spoonful of Vervain. Mix thoroughly and dip into this water a piece of petrified wood. Pass the rock through the flame of the candle and chant:
''Candle, herb, rock, water, salt,
Hear me as my song is sung,
Age is not my hearts desire,
It is youth to which I aspire,
Candle, herb, rock, water, salt.''
Repeat the ritual and chant seven times. As each chant is said, touch the rock in turn to first one foot, one hand, one shoulder, crown of the head, and then down the other side of the body to shoulder, hand and foot. When the spell is finished, take the rock immediately to the nearest river, beach or stream and throw it in.

Place the face of the clock in front of you with one white candle aligned with every number of the hours. Light each candle counter-clockwise, starting with the candle for the twelfth hour and moving backwards to the eleventh, tenth, ninth, etc. You may chant the following before lighting each candle and after lighting the last;
''Reverse time for this spell of mine.''
After each candle is lit stand with your arms outstretched and spin counter-clockwise. Visualize yourself getting younger and healthier. As you do this chant;
''I turn back time on this body of mine.
I am a young, healthy, vibrant [desired age]''
For [desired age] say what age you wish to look and feel again. For example if you want to be twenty, say ''I am a young, healthy, vibrant twenty year old.''
Do this two times daily, once just after you wake up and once just before you go to sleep. It works best if you do this exactly twelve hours apart, such as once at 9Am and again at 9Pm.
