#1 - Herbal Cleansing Steam
Take a medium-sized pan and fill the bottom with water, setting it on high heat. Add the cinnamon, then take the spearmint leaf and coat it with honey. Add the coated leaf in the water and allow it to boil and steam. Turn the stove off and pour the water into a mug. Take the mug around your house counterclockwise so that the steam has a chance to purify and ward off negative energy. When done, allow the water to cool enough to drink; this will help cleanse the house and the host.

#2 - Managing Negative Habits
Preparation
- Understand that this spell is meant to aid in managing a negative habit, not cure it.
- Ask permission of the host for a strip of cloth from a garment they own (skip if you are the host).
- Make a poppet of desired form and material (not using the cloth strip yet).
- Take a bowl of water and add a dash of salt and the desired number of lemon drops.
- Keep a jar and lighter handy.
Process
Take the strip of cloth and soak it in the water mixture, adding the cleansing energies of salt and lemon to the host's personal energy. Wring out the cloth so it is damp (not dripping or dry) and wrap it around the poppet. As you do so, realize that the salt absorbs the residual energy of the habit and the lemon helps break it down time to time. As this spell is for managing an on-going issue, repeat as necessary, adding more lemon juice drops as you go for build up. As the spell "cooks", leave the poppet in a jar with the lid sealed. Once finished, safely burn the cloth and poppet, then bury the ashes in a place deemed acceptable.

#3 - Protect Me
Please note: This spell is just to attract someone to you, and by any means is not 100 percent guaranteed. Just like any spell.
Place three white candles in front of you and light them. On a piece of paper, write: "I want to feel protection, I want to be protected. Protect me, I ask of thee." If it is for a person, write: "Protect this person,let them feel protection, let them be protected, I ask of thee."
Close your eyes and imagine a white light around you. And take breaths in and out. And imagine the light getting brighter. If it is for a person imagine: By closing your eyes imagine a white light around that person, and imagine the light getting brighter.
Note: If you want to help raise more energy to the spell even after you do it, imagine the white light in your head getting brighter. And if its for a person imagine them being surreounded by light and it getting brighter.

#4 - Khaire's Nightmare Technique
Start with sitting in your room, preferably where you are having these nightmares.
Close your eyes, focus on your breathing, and calm your mind. Do this as long as you want to, or as long as it feels right.
Picture your room in your mind. Every detail. Picture the energy flowing around. It's bad energy, correct? So picture this as a darker color.
Now, in your mind, visualize a white light surrounding you. This is healing, relaxing, and beautiful white light. It's floating, swirling, and glowing around you. This is your energy. It is good energy.
Use your energy to scoot the darker energy out of your room. Feel the sense of peace while you do this, and tell the bad energy that it can no longer be here, because you wish it, and it is not welcome. Push it out the door, and out of your house.
Now, visualize iron bars around your door. Give power to those iron bars. Every window and door to your room should be blocked. This allows no bad energy to enter.
Clear the room with your energy. Remember, you are doing this. Because you have the will to do so. Have confidence.
After this is done, take the salt and make a line across your doorway. Make a line on your windowsill, and a barrier around your bed. This salt will help give your visualizations a boost, and keep all the negative energy and entities out from your room, restricting your nightmares to a bare minimum. If the nightmares do not go away, I would burn sage and do the exact same technique that I just described.

#5 - Travel Protection
More a ritual than a spell. Before you begin your journey for the day blow a long, loud blast on your horn. No words are needed, though if desired you can call on a patron deity with the horn blast.

#6 - To Invoke a Rune
I'll begin by trying to explain Galdr in the simplest way I can. Galdr roughly comes from the phrase "to crow." It is a verbal incantation sort of magic. Either chanted or sung. Rune galdr is the singing of the runes. You literally invoke the conscious nature of the rune itself. You vibrate its name and sing for it to come into your life. You actively welcome and call forth the nature and very being of the rune.
We'll begin with Fehu. Beginning galdr is much more than sitting down and singing. You must live with the rune, and become aware that it lives. It's mystery is active and aware.
Begin this journey by learning all you can about Fehu. Its mystery, its pronunciation, its uses. Eventually we can agree the overall importance of Fehu is wealth. For this exercise we will focus on material wealth.
To expand living with Fehu carry a runestone of Fehu in your pocket as often as you can. When you have time hold onto the stone and meditate on the nature of Fehu. As corny as it sounds, become one with Fehu. I suggest you eventually do this will all the runes. Also study the Anglo-Saxon and Norwegian rune poems of Fehu.
When you have learnt about Fehu you can move on to galdr. Sit in the dark, alone, and in silence. Hold the rune in your hand, or perhaps paint it on your body.
Eventually work yourself into a deep trance. A trance that feels like you are barely alive and are submerged in the earth. Once that feeling has been reached you can begin.
Begin by humming softly. Then slowly begin to chant or sing "Feeeehhhuuuu" Over and over again sing it's name. Then eventually repeat this.
"Feeeeeehhhhuuuuu
Fe fe fe fe fe fe fe fe fe
Hu hu hu hu hu hu Fehu
Feeeeeeehhhhhhuuuu"
Do this over and over again and feel the nature of the rune filling you up with it's aspect. Do this until you feel it is done and are confident. Exit the trance slowly and thank Fehu for its gift.

#7 - To Bless a Sword/Weapon
First let's look at the lore.
"Victory runes shall you know
If you want to secure wisdom,
And cut them on the sword hilt,
On the center ridge of the blade,
And the parts of the brand,
And name Tyr twice."
This verse is taken from the Volsung Saga. From this we get a bit of wisdom. We are to carve victory runes into our weapons. The closest runes to this are Sowilo and Tiwaz. Tiwaz is the rune of legal success, Sowilo represent victory. So start by carving the runes Sowilo and Tiwaz as a bind rune on the spots of the blade that we are told. The center, hilt, and brand. Here is an example as to what that bindrune would look like

Carve the bind runes in the proper places. Then sit with the weapon and place it upon the Earth. Take your bottle of mead and pour it into the horn. Raise the horn high and say this "Mighty one armed god of War and Honor. Bless this weapon, may it see that I am victorious."
Drink a bit of the mead and wash the blade in the rest of the mead. Say your thanks to the gods and be done with your work.

#8 - High Seat Rite
Roles:
- Seer- the one who journeys to Helheim
- Master of Ceremonies- the one who leads the rite
- Watcher(s)- the one(s) who watch and observe the rite
- Battery- the ones raising the energy
- Chorus- the ones invoking the spirits, and singing
- Audience- the ones who ask questions
Purify the working space. For this type of working, you may want to invoke a disir circle for protection. Invoke the deities of your choosing: ideally, Freyja, Odin and Hel. Ask Hel for permission to enter her realm, Helheim. BE AWARE OF THE ANSWER. If you feel that you received a "no", do not attempt to continue with the rite. Once you've been given permission, being to raise energy for the rite. Typically this is done through ecstatic dancing, drumming, where everyone is moving and acting in this. When the drumming quitens, everyone sits in a circle and begins to invoke the ancestors and wights.
Now, visualize the world tree in the centre of the space. The entire group begins to chant galdr, and the vardlokkur. Everyone should sway, move, clap, or otherwise participate in some physical way. This is all to prepare the Seer. When the Seer is ready, they are handed the staff and cloak. The Master of Ceremonies keeps an eye on the Seer, and will be the one who determines when it is time for them to pathwalk. Everything quitens. The Master of Ceremonies leads the Seer through the pathwalking, by guiding them through visualization: "You stand in a field amongst the soft, brown soil. Slowly, you feel yourself beginning to sink into the cool earth beneath your feet..".
The Seer is physically led to walk in a spiral. This represents climbing Yggdrasil. They begin the pathwalking experience of journeying to Helheim. The Master of Ceremonies continues to lead them through this visualization. The Seer then sits on the High Seat, and is asked to explain what they see. The Master of Ceremonies will direct the questions. The Seer from this point on is not called by name. They are called "Seer" to keep from snapping them out of their trance. When the questions are finished, the Seer leaves Helheim. They are then called by their name, and brought back. The cloak is removed. The music stops, offering is given, and thanks are made.

#9 - Heid Prophecy Rite
Begin by purifying the space you are going to work in, and invoke group protection. How you do this is up to you. Call upon Heid, asking that she guide you and take an active part in the rite. Explain what your intent is, what the goal is, and what you would like from Heid. Be clear. State the boundaries and limits you have.
The Channel, or the person who is going to have Heid invoked into them, now will have a cloak put over their head. They are given a staff to hold.The Channel will being to pound the ground with the staff, to "wake" the Volva from her sleep. While this is occuring, the audience/choir will being to sing galdr to entice Heid to be involved in the ritual. The guide will be singing to main lead of the choir, invoking Heid in the same style. The group, as a whole, should visualize Heid coming up from the Earth and into the channel.
The Master of Ceremonies, or whoever happens to be running the entire rite, should now welcome Heid. This would be the appropriate time for an offering. It is given directly to Heid through the channel. (AKA if you are offering food, give the food to the channel). Once the Channel has been touched by Heid, the audience then asks questions to be answered by Heid through the Channel. When the questions have been answered, the singing continues again, to draw Heid back into the ground and out of the Channel. The Channel then grounds, and thanks Heid for the experience.

#10 - Volva Journey
Purify your working space (how you do this is up to you). Invoke your disir and ask that they accompany you (a disir is a protective spirit). Use other personal protection if you feel it is needed. Invoke Odin, to ask that you borrow Sleipnir. Then invoke Sleipnir. This is how the Shaman "rides" through the World Tree. Invoke Hel, and ask that you use her realm, Helheim. If you are specifically doing this rite to communicate with your ancestors, invoke them as well. Once your invocations are done, state the intent and goal of the rite. Be specific. Be clear. And offer something in return.
Create an altered state of consciousness. How you do this is up to you. Raise energy within yourself through this process.Some suggest that you begin your journey experience by meeting Odin, to ask that you borrow Sleipnir. Some say this step is not nessesary. Next, lead the "procession" to Helheim. As you journey, visualize the disir and wights following alongside you. Your staff, volva stav, etc, can actually represent sleipnir during this part.
Move to the high seat, and don the cloak and staff. From here, communicate with the wights you intended to communicate with. Come prepared with questions. Ask. Receive answers. Thank the wights for the answers you receive, and leave when it is time to go. When satisfied, give the offerings you promised to give, thanking each individual you called upon.
