Wands

Using a wand is a good way to direct energy while doing rituals and spell casting.

When choosing a stick for your wand, you go to one that calls you. It could be on a tree, or broken on the ground. If it's on a tree, you MUST ask the tree's permission to take it.

How do you know if the tree says it's ok? There may be a gust of wind. The branch may bend down to you. Over all, trust your instinct. If you feel bad about taking it, don't do it.

If the tree allows it, thank it and offer it something. A bit of water around it's trunk is a nice way of saying thank you.

So now you have your branch. You can clean the bark off of it, or leave is as it. Add anything you like to it. Glue on gems, tie ribbons, write things on it if you wish. Anything organic you add to it, only enhances it's energy.

Remember, the wand itself is already infused with natural energy. There's no need to try to charge it.

Decorate it any way you wish. Any way that calls to you.

Do you have to decorate it?

No, you don't have to. It's yours and you can do whatever you want to it.

The energy of the tree is always there...its just a matter of adding energy from gems and crystals or making it pretty to look at.
