programing pendulums

Is this the right forum? Who knows but I have a question.can pendulums be programmed to tell the truth? Or is it at will that you may get a right answer?

The key to getting correct answers from pendulums is to be as detached as possible to the question at hand. Pendulums work partly on subtle, subliminal muscle convulsions and (in my belief) energy from the Universe. When you ask a question to such a sensitive medium, your emotions can obscure the reading. Like, if you ask, "Will I find $1,000 in the next ten minutes?" and you reaaaally want that money, the answer can come out "yes" despite it most likely being "no".

Sodalite is a good stone to have a pendulum made out of, as it promotes seeing the truth and such, but any stone will work just fine as long as you keep it cleansed**. Some people believe a spirit presides over the pendulum, and if that is your belief it wouldn't help to try meditating to bond with it. Programming it to give a little boost of energy never hurts, of course.

The more you use a pendulum the easier it becomes, and in my experience the percentage of "correct" answers improves. I put the word in quotes because I believe that the future is very, very dependent on our every little action. Once you hypothetically know the outcome to an event that has not come to pass, it puts that outcome in jeopardy.

You can also try and ask for an unbiased answer. A cool thing about pendulums is that you can use them to spell out thoughts in a sentence in those times when you really need to know what somebody was thinking. Just try not to fill in the blanks with your own mind.

I find the pendulum scrying very interesting. I work with Rose(yes I named my pendulum) at least 5-6 times a day. I start out with such things as,"am I wearing my glasses?" "did I work today?" "Is there another human in the room with me?". I even asked it if my fav foot ball team was going to win the championship. 99% of the time the answer is correct. I have a certain "wish" I want before 12/25/2009 every time I ask it if it will happen I get the same "yes" answer. I even spent 1 1/2 hours one night to find out the name of my spiritual higher being/guild. After all the time I spent with it going through the alphabet I learn my guilds name is "I". I guess I don't use the pendulum in the ways I read in books or on line. I hold my thumb and pointer finger together,with the amount of chain I have on Rose I can ball it up in my hand, I then let the chain rest over my fingers and use my other hand to steady the projecting hand. If I do it the way I see in books and on line I don't have a steady enough hand to keep it still. Maybe the way I am doing it is wrong,who knows. But it has been effective so far if I want to really be sure I ask rose to "swear to me the answer is right". Ok I realize I'm ranting but just wanted to share

That is a very interesting way of scrying, and no its not wrong. There are different ways to do everything, or, as the saying goes, "there is more than one way to skin a cat."
Personally, I don't use a pendalum, but I meditate and seek guidance from my goddess and nature, but that is just me. The girl I am with uses a pendalum a lot, and she does it a little differently also. By doing things your own way to make it less...ritualistic and programmed and more attuned to you is always a good thing as long as you can still keep the essential basics in hand so you don't divert the purpose of it to suit you.

After a while you'll stop being addicted to it and you'll use it very occasionally. I used mine recently to see what people thought of my new hair colour. :3
