How do you know when you're casting energy
or how do you know if you're doing spells
right. What are the signs I should be
looking for.

while casting or working with energy, typically you can feel the energy. when you cast a circle, you should feel warmer, or the wind is blowing softer or something subtle like that.

when casting spells, again, it's the feeling of the energy traveling through your body and pooling in the objects used. [the objects should feel warm] the other 'signs' come after the spell is cast, such as you cast a love spell, and someone of the opposite [or same depending on preference] gender just stops to say hi.

i cast a luck/protection spell for a friend once, a few days later he was walking down the street with his music on, he looked down and saw some money on the sidewalk, if he had kept walking he would of gotten hit by a truck coming out of the underground parking in front of him. it was most likely the spell that caused him to notice the money and stop, but it could of also been his own decision, magick works subtly so it's hard to say exactly what signs there are if a spell is working or not. if after a moon cycle you don't see/feel anything different in your life, that's normally how you find out.
