This explanation is in no way coined as fact, rather an assumption based on given information regarding yet another set of labels.
Im speaking of the four schools, or classes of magic, which self-classify as follows;
Star: Utilizes planetary energies for works. This ranges from Horoscopes, to Solomons key, (which also use the next school)
The rune associated with this class is Perthro.
Mancy: Works are supplemented and/or geared to commune with beings which lack physical counterpart. This includes mediumship and some higher magics. The rune for this class is Sowilo.
Namer: This class must be careful to think before they speak, in order to keep adverse things from being spoken into being. They also can tell truth from falses, and tend to have a knack for math/logic or numerology. This class is associated with the rune Ansuz.
Elementer: One of this class often enjoys, and their energies thrive, in nature. They may use raw energies from any element, to help power their spells, or heal living things. They are also usually versed in herb knowledge. Rune = Hagalaz
These schools are not be all end all. It is normal for one to pass through each class(at different rates), throughout ones life. Whats more, it is also common for one to be versed in many schools. It is also common for one to be well versed or even adept at one or two. Yet and still, there is always a balance.
In my studies, i often use runes, tarot, and the chakra to describe energetic associations. If ever you feel i have misplsced a description, please let me know.
This is my own writing i typed it into a text message box, hence the random question marks and stretching of them below where i used lots of double spaces to sign it like a letter.
Each class is a school in its own right. Those with talents belonging to one of these classes automatically catch on to anything belonging to that school. Individual skills often complement others of neighboring schools. Also, no one school is inherently stronger than another, nor are they incompatible in any way outside of respect for energetic traits. They each are merely tools for our will. Let us use them with care.
Since this is a class i major in, i will discuss it first.
Naming (Ansuz)
One facet of this class lies in, surprise! Names. Numerology is basically a formula used to help calculate subtle energies, and determine spiritual path clues based on many factors. Some of of these factors include the fact that we, as energetic/spiritual beings, may speak things into being, but not in the way we may think. Regarding energy as a vibration, when we give energy toward a label that has so much influence on us, using that name repeats a specific vibration. Accepting yourself to belong to that label also acceps that vibration into your personal energy. This is one piece of numerology, the only one exclusively classified as belonging to the Namers class. It belongs to this class, because, as you may now guess, namers are inherently(or otherwise) attuned to the specific level of vibration associated with these subtle energies. By this virtue, they can sometimes guess names! They also tent to have a way with words, in one way or another, and are known to read the energies of others fairly quickly.
There are many types of mystics. To begin training in this class, mail me with your assumption of what kind of person a namer would be, and why. Anything from palm reader, to healer, to something not even consitered mystical, like a social worker, or school nurse.
Mancy (Sowilo)
Divination is the driving force regarding this class. There are many methods used to divine, ranging from scrying to tarot, to full on mediumship. Each one has a specific method which is used to perceive desired information. This information may come from various places, including spiritual contacts and the akashic records. For example, tarot cards can use either avenue, depending on the medium. Those who sense the subtle energies of 'event waves',(those feelings we get when something is going to happen, sensed via dreams, visions, or basic, raw sense. Predicting weather precicely is a good sign of a mancer.) You also qualify as a mancer if you have or can maintain a lesser connection with spirits not on our plane.
Some argue that the spirit world and the akashic records are the same thing. At any rate, a healthy mancer can usually commune with any other spirit on an energetic level. Surprisingly enough, there are many people who fall into this class, simply because they have developed their sense of empathy to a degree where they can differentiate between energies easily. Some mancers subconsciously respond to visual stimuli as well. Ever catch someone staring, or know when someone sneaks up behind you? You just may belong to this class!
This class, technically, has the most influence in reference to its range regarding general usefullness. The horoscopes are a widely used avenue of star class' expertise. Along with the constellations, the very planets themselves,(considering the law of universal gravitation), being made of various ores and gasses sometimes of astronomical proportions, have a unique energy signature and qualities. Because the planets in our system are closest to us in our suns g-field, our planet is directly affected by their potentials. Over time, we come to realize how the energies about us are affected, energetically, and also emotionally. By these virtues, we can measure the affects these planetary energies cause, and can then expand upon them further.
The Keys of Solomon are largely based on these energies as well. The influence of each planet carefully metered to optimal benefit, over many years, or many sessions of deep ritual..
I cant express enough the usefullness that knowledge brings, but without diligence, we will never be able to destroy our own barriers, and reach out to those energies that permiate and propogate us.
