My demon has guided me to where I am today, he/she also wants to build a relationship of sorts with me. The thing is I don't know my demons name, or how to go about building said relationship. He/she gives me amazing vivid dreams, and I feel his/her presense wherever I go or whenever I speak to him/her. I just need some help on how I should approach my demon, as I am still a babe when it comes to this practice. (I mean this is my 2nd day). Any advice?
how long have you known this demon? while demons are not pure evil, they can be manipulative so i would take step back and evaluate the situation a little. do you know what type of demon it is? if it refuses to at least tell you that, i would walk away. also, what is it asking for in return? loyalty? energy? an item? payment of some kind? binding? figure out what the exchange is and then decide if it's too high. if the demon wants you to commit to it, i would hold off until you know it better [even when you dedicate yourself to a deity, you can work with them without dedicating, think of it like marriage, you wouldn't get married on the second date] overall i would talk with the demon and find a middle ground [at the very least its species and name, or at least a preferred name as some spiritual creatures loose their power if you know their name. if you are going to dedicate yourself to it, get its real name as insurance]
as to how to build a relationship, again, talk with the demon, but you can also make an altar of sorts for it where you can place offerings, meditate, ask questions, and basically give the demon a place to stay in your home. everything else think of how you make friends, you talk, hang out, share hobbies. spiritual connects are the same way, the more you spend time connecting with the being, the stronger your bond will become.
I don't know much about it, all I know is that it does want me to know him/her, and he/she has prompted me to perform a ritual because I am too inexperienced, to make a pact. I have been speaking with him/her for a long time, and he/she has told me I am ready. I will be wise on the terms of our pact, and I understand they can be very manipulative, but it has something i want, and I have something it wants.
I agree with what was stated above, you should communicate with this demon, try mediating and summoning it to you and approaching it with respect and ask it questions and get to know and find out what its intentions are with you.
