A mojo bag or a grisgris bag is typically a 2 by 3 inch red flannel, leather or other fabric drawstring bag, That can be kept on yourself, in your room, sacred space or really any place of choice.
Other colors can be used depending on their magick symbolism. Say you wanted to make one for meditation and psychic practice, you would make the bag purple.Or for love, you would make it pink. etc.
You fill these useful little bags with magickitems related to its purpose. Just to add one of my personal tips,I strongly suggest you charge these items in full moon light and soak them in moon water overnight before placing them in your bag. **Remember you need natural source water for the moon water!** As a bonus, charge these items and make your moon water on the upcoming blue moon (the 31st of march) for extra power in these items.
Such items include herbs, flowers, carved stones, crystals, charms, bones, coins, tokens, etc. Remember these should all be related to the bags purpose as well, so a little research and gathering may be needed!
Only ever put an odd number of items in your grisgris / Mojo bag. Never less than 3 or more than 13.
As another one of my personal tips, meditate before you put this bag together.
Bless each one of these items as you place them in the bag. This can be done by any simple item blessing or purification spell you can find on this website. Nothing fancy is needed.
The whole bag should be painted with anointing oil, and then smudged with an incense (again, related to the bags purpose)
Finally, It is said you should breathe on the bag. This makes it all come together and puts a personalized glossy finish on it!

That would depend on the intention of the mojo bag. There are all purpose oils and oil blends for specific needs you can purchase premixed and charged or you can create your own anointing oil for your specific purpose and mojo bag.
If you are creating a bag for protection you would use a protection oil to anoint the bag. Oils such as basil, peppermint, lavender, bergamot, sandalwood, frankincense, sage, clove, lime and lemon are all great protection oils.
