Hi all. I am fairly new to the practice of magic (about 10 months) and I have recently tried a spell of a user by the name of darkmagican to summon and connect with a Djinn. The spell called for the use of a black, red, and white candle which I had to light in a specific order. But anyway towards the beginning of the spell when I was writing words on the mirror as instructed, the red candle, which represents the birth/life of the djinn suddenly went out for no reason. I did a bit more research and simply blew out the candles so that I could start lighting them over again. However, for some reason, even when the candle wick was in perfect shape and not buried in wax, the candle still would not light again. In addition to this, I found that my eyes suddenly started burning and I found it hard to see for a bit. This never happened before. it took me roughly half an hour before I was able to get it. So I blew it out the other candles to lite them in order again as well as rewrite the words on the mirror. And when I was finished with the process and the incantation, I began closing out the ceremony and wiping down the mirror. However, when I was doing this, either a very weird or very coincidental thing happened. 5 minutes after that same red candle had been blown out, it fell out of the candle holder, which was fairly deep because I wanted to make sure it was secure. I was not touching the area which the candles were placed on and I was inside my home with the air off and all doors closed so I thought it was strange. I feel that I successfully completed the process, following all the instructions with deep meditation (I did it longer though) and I was wondering if such occurrences with the red candle meant I made some sort of contact with a djinn. Like maybe when my eyes started stinging at the candle would not lite. I was thinking that it could have been them trying to deter me from completing the spell or something. It was only that red candle that was giving me issues. What do you guys think? Am I on the right track or am i reading too much into it?
What an exciting post to read Aleyla, and i have to admit i really know nothing about Djinn but i do understand spell creation, so i will leave my comments on that. The candles are all unique in this process for starts, white is an all purpose candle, red and black are the really interesting ones. Casters can use a black candle to banish the negative energies and then use the red one to raise or draw in positive energies. On a couple of occasions i have had similar reactions with red candles, and i believe its just to expected so your defiantly doing something right. Mirror's are used in a form of soothsaying for communication, i like to think they act as telephones to the other side, and casters have used mirrors for "Calling" and "Invoking" and not at all uncommon. You stayed focused on your intentions, and corresponded every symbolic meaning for your intentions, which is great. Your eyes may have burned for many reasons, if it is a magick one, i would say because of the type of spell you were doing may have temporally disabled your sense of sight to pick up on the metaphysical sight or third eye. All and all your on the right path of knowing how to use candle magick, i would record the spell and when the time comes to change it or do it again, your much more ready. Also as a reminder you shouldn't change up on candles once they have a specific reason so start fresh with unused candles. Blessed be!
