I'm new to the site but on several other magick, witch craft and esoteric groups elsewhere. Before I get to my question here's a background about myself so you understand abit where I am coming from. I'm an empath and have been sensitive to energies and this year alone I have been the most receptive to the other side. In the last three years or so several entities have shared their name with me out of nowhere, but in my recent meditation a deity appeared to me and she was Amaterasu omikami. She showed me what she looked like before disappearing into a small blue light that was glowing and that light disappeared into an image of Mt. Fuji. Another instance of this happening was when I was about 9 or 10 years old when a sun deity appeared to me in a dream and asked me this "If you serve me I will take care of you"
I've have already read some articles regarding this but not much is written about it.

I'm from South East Asia and we have our own ethnic sorcery and traditional witch craft but in my journey I have not been introduced to it by my guides or angels. (Strange huh) Instead I have been reading on sumerian witch craft, modern magick, ceremonial magick, and sigil magick. I'm not new to magick and witch craft but I have never in my life considered practicing magick or witch craft before. I was very happy to be just a tarot reader, but there is the unseen guiding force that has been repeating to me that my path is associated with this. The signs I received were mostly from my dark mother and biological mother. My dark mother has accompanied me to the crossroads back in 2016 and it was the most scariest experience I've had because it was not just mysterious but it was important as well. With my biological mother she had a dream on august that was a past life dream where she saw her past self performing magick with other practitioners in groups. She was first a priestess in a small village similar to druids and in her second life she practiced magick with others and performed important rituals and she had the power to communicate and control angelic and demonic beings. It is far fetch but I always take it as one ways of the universe/source speaking to me.
My question is about why deities and some entities share their name and let their presence be known to you? I didn't actively seek them aside that my angels have been talking to me recently. I've read in a spiritual protection book that there are entities who do seek you out. That's why I'm learning about rituals for protection and also dimming because I want to keep a low profile away from these entities.
I'm not very excited about this path because it feels like I need to do extra hard work to keep me safe and to do what i'm meant to do.

Deities make Themselves known to you when They want you to worship or work with Them, or if They have a message for you. It sounds like, from your previous experience, you have deities who want to work with you.
First things first, you'll have to make sure they aren't impostor spirits. Put up some protection, and invite Amaterasu to talk to you via meditation, dreams, or divination techniques like cartomancy or pendulums. Ask if it was indeed Her that spoke to you.
Assuming the answer is yes, you have a choice to make. Deities can be very helpful and protective; I rely on my goddess Artemis to protect me when I am out in the forest. They guide you and give you lessons to help strengthen your practice and yourself.
But you don't have to work with Them if you don't want to. If you don't want to, tell Amaterasu in a straightforward manner. Be polite, but assertive.
