@ CurseBringer thanks for explaining, i didn't know that.
@ Broken345, it is told in the bible [and torah] that we are decedents of the first humans; Adam and Eve. [you also have Lilith, but their offspring became demons, long story, don't worry about it] as a result, woman are cursed just as she was, because she's our relative. [way way way back according to the bible] in fact, there's a lot of stories throughout history about a curious woman dooming the planet to explain why woman are inferior to men. in regards to your following a book quandary, it's faith. you were either a god fearing christian or you were a hieratic that was cast out and/or killed for your belief. you can't argue with a persons faith, it's something they feel is true deep inside themselves, and no amount of evidence or proof will change their minds. we were clueless in the Garden of Eden and we were happy, once we took a bite of the fruit of knowledge, we saw we were naked and hid our shame. basically ignorance is bliss, and knowing too much will make your head explode i guess.
seeing spirits, some are born with the abilities, but it can be learned, however, not everyone has the ability to see them. [but they might be able to see demons or certain astral beings. i can't see demons] children normally can see spirits because our eyes are different, as we age, our eyes change, and many loose this ability. i did, i was able to see apparitions, now it's shadows. Rori was the last apparition i saw.
what happened after death? like a white light? no, never asked, and few spirits like to speak of it. i guess it's some undead rule or something. i don't know what happens after death, i believe spirits do know but for whatever reason they cannot tell us. no, i haven't met one that committed suicide. i've met those who have died from disease, old age, sudden accidents, even one that was murdered, but not suicide. as i said, they don't really like talking about it. if you had a traumatic experience, would like to speak about it to every random stranger? unless it's a friend i don't ask about death, i ask them about their life and what they're doing now. Rori is the only one who i want to know more about, but he doesn't want to talk about it, so we normally just goof around when we speak. he's not the most co-operative person to work with. most spirits i speak to will answer pretty much every question in great detail, but with Rori it's a game, he likes answering in riddles, or just going around in circles to see my coven and i get flustered.
i do have a friend who committed suicide many years ago, sad as it sounds, i try my best to avoid speaking with him, just because i don't want to hear from him. i finally visited his grave a few summers ago [we live far away because i moved, so i couldn't even make it to his funeral] i sat by his grave, it was just quiet, an eery silence to be honest, and i made my peace with him. i don't know if his soul is resting, reincarnated, or with his family, but i haven't seen/heard from him in almost 10 years. plus spirits rarely stay in cemeteries, so i figure that's the last place i would of found him.
i know this might seem cool to someone who isn't use to it, but i never really seek out spirits. i'll just bump into one and say hi, that's basically it. Rori just came into my room one night when i was a kid, we talked and i invited him to stay.
I've seen spirits and learned a great deal about the afterlife. There's only so much I can say, though, since different people can see it differently. To put simply, it is a wonderful place. The dead are happy, but not as we would define happy. The joy they feel is a product of their sense of fulfillment rather than pleasure. They just, as we might say, feel great to be alive and are glad to reincarnate as part of their growth. They all feel they have a place in the Universe, and choose it for themselves. Fate and destiny are not assigned, they are volunteered for to be followed in life.
Some don't always transition well from life to death, suicides are one example, and such people are at the minimum very scared and confused. Thankfully, there is a sort of "therapy" to help people come to grips with themselves and their situation. They all eventually find their way, even evil souls one day escape their inner torment (there really isn't a Hell besides the internal one they inflict on themselves) and feel the love everyone shares with one another. I cannot say too much more, as much of what I saw I cannot share in any way except to tell others how to learn it for themselves.
