I don't know what's causing it, but I've never seen Baphomet before this post. After I read your question I immediately looked up his picture and guess what. My stomach started tossing and I felt soo sick. And I actually barfed. Never looking at that picture again.

could be a clash of energies, perhaps his energies are your polar opposite, sometimes opposites don't attract they clash with each other.

sometimes things happen for a reason, it's up to you to figure out what that reason is. I see spirits all the time, have since i was a kid, but i figured out that i was meant to see them so i could help them and those they left behind

Symbols and sigils hold power, they work on levels of association beyond the level of normal conciousnes, understand that the energy of the Baphomet is very much real as the first dark being, he can be almost considered Khaos incarnate (easiest way for me to explain) now when you focus on a picture and pushing and pulling your energy against it whether you realise it or not you are poking at that primal energy, and no, it is not something which is to be controlled, thus if you keep poking at it the energy is gonna show you how intense it can be, trust me you don't want that, stop focussing on the image, but hey, use it don't use it.
