Obviously, Flamevipers, and I hope this isn't taken offensively although I may laugh if it is, you are not as poor as I have been. "Poor" is when the times you do get food means you have to make it last for a period of time. Not just "pig out" the moment you have it. That pizza, assuming it's large or especially if it's extra large, is eight meals. That means it could last you eight days. When you have to look at your food in terms of how many meals you can get out of it, that's when you're poor. Either that or just cheap, but usually that's when you're poor.
The little caeser ones are usually occasion I get my food intake from the school systems because I am under 18 therefore i can get a free lunch because of the US government, but when it comes down to it yes I am poor because I do need that kind of stuff. I usually bum money off of friends, and such.
I agree with Khelek or the poor bit,i have gone without food for days in order to feed my children and make sure they have what they need to survive.
To me that's what being a parent is all about your childrens needs must always come first, and your needs last.
Being on welfare(not by choice) was the hardest time during my life, but i count my blessings each day as there are people alot worse off all over the world.
Yes I've heard you have a big problem in America. People are getting fat and all. It's not just about food, it's how you make a meal. You can get fat from potatoes and you can have a lean body even if you eat meat. It's all relative.
Ginseng, I'm not a parent, but I was still young enough to have to rely on my mom a couple of times we hit the bottom so I know how hard it can be. I just wanted to say, I hope you don't have to go through that again.
Wudang, it's also about exercise. I have seen some people eat all sorts of junk food, having McDonald's and soda every day, but still be fit because they know to work out. Likewise, I have seen people eat health and "diet," but not exercise and so not go very far in weightloss.
Then obviously, Flameviper, vegetarianism works well for you. Keep in mind, however, that it is not for everyone. I've seen vegetarians that look frail and fragile, have constant health problems, and are not at all amazing. Unless, perhaps, you consider them amazingly unhealthy. In contrast, there are people who have an almost strictly carnivorous diet and are, like you, strong, healthy, amazing, etc. Again, it depends on the individual.
Yes it does depend on the individual, im vegetarian and im not always healthy infact i was quite ill and very tired a few weeks back due to lack of iron even though i take multi-vits daily.
