I would point out that "weak hydrokineses and touch" amounts to the scientific explanation of static electricity. This is a keen example of looking for the explanation that you wish you had and then not going further.

No matter how much you wish it to be magic and born of will, and certainly you desired it to be and willed it to happen, it is rather obviously the discharge of a static charge.

This is rather why I loathe the whole idea that everyone has their own belief, and they are entitled to it. This is a false statement, born of the pampered and the spoiled. You (we) are entitled to nothing. We have no "right" to belief. We have no right to willfully turn away from knowledge so that we can continue to bask in an ignorance that is more appealing. Doing so is like spitting in the face of any of the rights to free will and intelligence that man and woman might actually otherwise possess.

Certainly, in terms of religion, science, whatever, everyone can have their own perspective. They can believe in different gods, different dogmas, and different belief structures. But the moment you decide to ignore evidence that might be contrary, or might force you to adapt what you believe in, just because you wish that something else were true, or you're more comfortable believing in something else, you have taken the first step in actively avoiding learning and attaining knowledge.

Why would anyone want to actively take the first step in, instead of learning and developing spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually, achieving stupidity?

We are entitled to our own beliefs until we are proven wrong. And then we are obligated to work harder to develop and understand our beliefs against that proof, or change our perspective on life.

Fist off the right to decide if you want to believe in something is yours and yours alone.
