teaching idea

So I've noticed that not to many of my students are doing the work off the website i have set up. This is my idea to try and recruit some new members as well as inform the public that Wiccans, and Druids, and Pagans in general aren't bad people. I was thinking of making a youtube account where me and a friend of mine (who's also on this site) could teach students. I just wanted to know what everyone thought, and if we do go ahead and make said youtube account, how many people would watch it.

Give me your thoughts, and if you have any ideas shout them out to me here, or in a pm. I appreciate it guys and gals

Depends how entertaining the videos are.. -_- my attention span is quite short.

It is a very good idea. But please make the video as interesting as possible, and of course, subtitle could be the best!

Your not suppose to be entertained, your suppose to learn. If you want to be entertained go watch tv.

charmedsnake, as much as i agree, I also have to disagree, since most of the time I teach kids in their early teens, something entertaining every so often would be nice to keep their attention. I'll see if I can't incorperate something, let's say my rats, into a lesson or two. That way it's something entertaining as well as educational. I don't know about some people, but if it's not fun to learn, i really hate trying to learn it. For most of my time of study as a Wiccan, most of that was plain, drab information, though when it came time to practice, it was three times as fun, lmao. Keep the ideas and thoughts coming guys and gals. If you come up with a good idea for this, don't let it pass you by, you might actually have something that is usable, and come to benefit not only yourselves, but others who are trying to learn as well.

I tend to learn by being entertain.. watching tv has teach me how to speak two languages.. so you are advice.. is the advice I give.. ^_^ after all, no point on learning if you are not going to learn at all... some people learn just to pass and get a grade.. but forget later on.. if math is boring.. then it is hard to learn it.. but if the lessons are taught in a dynamic form.. they tend to be more fun and the students tend to participate more.. so yah... back to attention span.. if it does not seem interesting enough.. then off I go.. since the brain when it is not entertain it goes into a day dreaming state... *_* so, YEP.. WOO HOOO! that is my point.. I can give more examples.. but i am playing.. right now... hahahaha
