Strange...

I was at my friend's house since after school, but as soon as I get home my dad told me my other friend called. I call him back and he says that he saw some strange blue and white light and a bang, followed by all the street lights going out. House lights were still on, the street lights weren't. The same friend said his window started shaking also. I have heard many other people talking about the same thing, including people from far outside the city. Any explanations?

maybe it was a sonic boom?

I have heard people saying it was a meteorite, (I hope I'm using the proper term), and one person said they saw it very close to their vehicle.

aliens maybe, or a metorite, could be anything really

I somewhat doub't extraterrestrial beings. I have been told it is a meteorite, if anything start's happening I'll be sure to post when I can. :P

I'm not sure but generally house and street lights have separate power lines. Maybe there was a problem with the street lights power line and the power lines can go for miles.
