Immortality..

I was wondering,thinking,seen...and now i ask..

Why would you want to be immortal?

I know the benefits of mortality but i fail to see the ones of immortality..so i ask what i ask..

You know my views my friend, if a person can extend their life with the use of energy then it is fine, because that person still holds death sacred enough to know that at some point they need to release the physical, but full immortality has no benefits, losing all you love, never being able to find them in the afterlife, becoming disconnected with life as the ages and times change, you are then truly a little ant in a big world, and the more you get stepped on the more you get up and need to continue with the pain of being an outcast, for how could you ever truly share such a secret with anyone? We'll see how immortal anyone is after the government disects you to see how and why your body works the way it does, imagine that, not being able to die and chopped into a whole bunch of tiny pieces, sounds nice doesn't it? yeah I agree with Kao,there is no purpose to be immortal!
Anybody who wish that is selfish bastard and covard...I will rather die now then become immortal and traped myself in this body!

this seems like my area lol (look at the name). well i never wanted to be immortal. im not purly immortal. no one is. its just i have a feeling of being immortal. so do my brothers. we have all had many (meaning hundreds) of "near death experiences".but we are all reincarnated so we have that feeling. also i like the band immortal.

the only benefit to being immortal I can think of is to learn. That is the only reason i would be immortal, to learn everything. But on that note I believe in reincarnation and the Soul Mind is constantly learning throughout many different lifetimes.
So basically, if you believe you have only one lifetime, then to learn would be one benefit.
