Ringworms

Ringworms are fungi infections that live off the skin, in humans and domestic animals. They are extremely contagious, and can transfer from direct contact, human or animal, or indirect contact, from towels toilets, and many other sources. Its estimated that 20% of the world has a ringworm infection at any time. They grow, and spread best, on moist warm skin, hidden from direct light.

There are many herbs or chemicals that are efficient at dealing with, and removing the fungi, however it should be noted that regardless of the treatment, it should be softly patted on, not wiped, as wiping will cause the spread of spores, and thus causing more infection.

The best herbal treatments are topical oils, with anti-fungal or septic. Oil of oregano, or oil of tea tree, are two examples of such. Honey also has anti septic qualities. some recommended applying coconut oil, but in my opinion, It would soften the skin, and make it susceptible to attack.

Some also recommend making a paste out of salt and vinegar, applying it for five minutes daily. Its claimed that this will destroy them in less than a week. If you cant get any herbal oils, all hope is not lost. Bleach, directly applied to the affected areas daily, will kill the fungi and any spores. The same goes for nail polish, which will also create a protective cover, preventing and spreading. With any of the cures, it generally takes up to a week to rid yourself of the fungi.
