The Samhain

Greetings Friends!

I was wondering what everyone was doing during Samhain?

I plan to attend a All Hallo Eves party and then come home and Open a circle in Rememberance of my Past Ancestors. Looking forward to hoping to make some contacts.
I do love all holidays, but this one and the winter Solistice/Yule!

So lets hear what you all do!

Um... I've never ever been to a Halloween party or participated in any ritual performed that day/night... Meaning we don't really have such a holiday... We have "Spirit's day" well, roughly translated... And its all about the ones that passed away, on that day it is believed that the dead can rise (spiritually, only their soul, not zombie-like xD ) and visit, or wait to be visited.

So, me and my family, particularly on this day go to the graveyard as the rest of the believers and stay there the whole night....Its magical...candle lights, almost a dozen from each grave and far.... And its ALWAYS foggy... ^.^

PS: when attending the graveyard on this day a feast is inevitable...

For me on samhain i plan to gather my closest friends and celebrat the usual stuff like trick or treating and watching scary movies, because its my daughters second halloween and the only one shes able to participate in finally. but at the end of the day i'll cast a circle and begin my new life as a pagan. Samhain is believed to be the last and first holiday for the pagan religion as well as the celtic new year. So i plan to start a new life that day and hopefully recieve some guidence from my past loved ones.
