Hey its been about 5 days since i've become Wiccan and i'm really picking up a lot of things. But i need someone that i can go to and ask questions. Can anyone help me? I'm wanting to do spells but i need tools and i need to know how to consecrate them once i get them! There's a lot of things i know but a lot of things i need that comes with a lot of questions. And btw im only 15 so i dont have a lot of money...
It's important to understand that spellwork is not what Wicca is all about. Yes, many of us do spells on occasion, but what is important is that Wicca is a very specific religion with very specific beliefs and practices. If it's Wicca you want to practice then in the beginning you should be concentrating on the religion, getting to know the God and Goddess, celebrating the Moons and the Wheel of the Year, etc.
If all you want to do is cast spells and you don't want the religion, then you'd do better simply practicing witchcraft and not calling yourself Wiccan.
As for tools, the only ones you need right now are what is in your head and what is in your heart. But if you must have tools so that you can do rituals, then start with simple things. A kitchen knife makes a fine athame, a cup with water is a chalice, a small dish of salt represents Earth, and a red candle (even if you don't light it) or anything else that says "Fire" to you make fine altar tools. Later you can find better tools if you want, but start simple until you're sure this is the religion for you.
I don't know if you saw my response to your other post or not, but here's some recommendations on books and websites to learn more about Wicca.
To start with, here are some books that I would suggest.
''A Witch Alone'' by Marian Green
''The Elements of Ritual'' by Deborah Lipp
''Witchcrafting'' by Phyllis Curott
''21st Century Wicca'' by Jennifer Hunter
''Before You Cast a Spell'' by Carl McColman
''When, Why...If'' by Robin Wood
''Practical Pagan'' by Dana Eilers
''Wicca; A Year and a Day'' by Timothy Roderick
