I recommend getting a notebook or journal. And meditate before you write any spells that you come up with. Spells are kind of like poems, sometimes prayers. And read anything you can find on wicca. There are books that guide you in your writing. Light a candle as you write a spell.

Some phrases that are recommended for writing spells.

"SO mote it be" Is a phrase used in closing the spell. Or the end sentence.

"I call upon" You can call upon any spiritual medium. like God/ Goddess, angels, animal, moon, The Great White Brotherhood. Jesus, stones, the four elements (Earth, Fire, Air, Water) .

Arch Angles names- Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel.

Also draw a diagram of a pentagram on a piece of paper. Keep it safe for your spell writing. And when you cast your spells. Put a candle over the top center of the pentagram. And cast your spell.

Before a spell is apt to work, whether it is one you write yourself or one that you find on the internet, it is necessary that you fully understand how and why magic works and master the basics of spellcasting. There is far more to magic then simply chanting some words and lighting a candle or two. Here's some good books that I'd recommend:

"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman

"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar

"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson

"Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig

But for a good description of how to go about writing your own spells I'd check out the instructions at http://paganwiccan.about.com/od/magicandspellwork/ht/Write_a_Spell.htm
