I've been looking for more recent information about blood magic. If you cast a truth spell and include a drop of your blood, will it only make the spell more potent? I have not intention of binding the person at all.
Well blood magick is quite dangerous if you don't know the amount of blood you are going to use, spells are stronger if you use your own intent and your own words, imagination,..etc.
Thank you for this. I belatedly realized how powerful using blood could be. It was a little of my own blood which I used in a white candle, allowing it to burn while asking for the truth about someone.
Blood Magick is about as dangerous as lighting a candle. As with everything, as long as you don't seriously maim yourself in the process, and make sure to take care of it properly (disinfecting and dressing the wound), you'll be fine. Otherwise blood magick is not dangerous in the slightest.
Blood is a very special thing. It is known as "the conduit of life" and is regarded very highly in magick, as it's something that comes from you (or another being), and provides you with life. Adding a drop of blood to your working will overall make it more potent, but in terms of a truth spell I'd say that using a drop of blood from the target of the spell would be more effective. (Although that might not be easily attainable).
Lol, myname, you cant use your peiod blood through magic! First of all its dirty, Second it is not suitable to use it, Lastly, It is too disgusting discussing it in forums!
Actually Terranium,
Period blood is frequently used in blood magick, as it's a very attainable source of blood. (It does come every month) Although some beliefs may view period blood as "dirty," it is blood nonetheless and is directly correlated with the cycle of life, making it very desirable for use in blood magick. It is also naturally occurring, and safer to obtain than making a new incision in the skin.
A woman's period is not disgusting, it is simply a part of normal life.
