Hello my fellow Pagans. I would like to take this time to introduce myself, I am Jack, I was told by a reliable psychic that in my most important past life, I was a Roman Centurion. Since then my only shrine was to Mars, I pray to relive those days of glory, even if it is only in memory.

Days of glory? Do you mean all the pillage and slaughter by the Roman Army? Read up on Boadiccia, and what the Romans did to that royal family. The Roman Army robbed, raped, and pillaged their way across Europe and the Middle East. Adolf Hitler's Army did the same thing; was HE glorious?
Can I just also state past life readings and past life memories in general should be taken with a pinch of salt and analaysed with skepticism in tact.
Many great psychics and people tend to have an overactive imagination.
People with past lives tend to be someone important and someone who they believe to be impressive...instead of being one of the many poor, homeless people.
Or as Brysing pointed out, one of the victims of the Roman Empire.
Even the force of Mars is balanced with the force of Venus, his consort is Love, which brings balance to his nature. Out of their love is born Cupid.
I didn't bring up the myths for that purpose, just to clarify that the force of war alone, i.e. anger, frustration, destruction, was still an unbalanced force.
It must be balanced with love in order to ensure that the force of war and hate is not one which becomes as, say, Hitler, but the battle of a man who is protecting his loved one from an intruder in the home.
Or perhaps, the war of the allied forces in WW2 who were fighting for their country, loved ones, and an end to tyranny.
In qabalah mars is assigned to the sephirah geburah which means 'strength', other titles sometimes associated with the sphere when unbalanced are- severity, fear, and cruelty. Across from geburah we have Chesed- which is mercy, the two must balance out.
Or as Crowley put it-
"Remember that unbalanced force is evil; that unbalanced severity is but cruelty and oppression; but that also unbalanced mercy is but weakness which would allow and abet Evil. Act passionately; think rationally; be Thyself."
Worshipping or identifying with purely martial ideas could cause one to become infatuated with bloodlust and start to think along the line of Hitler, or other leaders who thought the rest of the world were rats. Balancing their martial identification with venus (Venetian?) would allow some balance and respect for others....or in the case of qabalah- Jupiter.
Or, we could just assume this person is no longer reading the thread, and is not all that bothered really!
@Arisa, thank you, I did know she was an adulterer, but not the details. I am not as interested in Greek mythology as others, so my knowledge is at the surface level at the best of times!
Honestly? The aggressors think that what they are doing is not only glorious but right, especially when they have war deities backing them. In most warrior cultures, a heroic death was/is a certain way to gain the best heaven possible. If you aren't a warrior and you are in a warrior culture, you are probably not going to enjoy your ideal afterlife, (especially when looking into Roman and Greek afterlives).
It doesn't really matter that he feels his days as a soldier were glorious, because they very well might have been in that past life. It's the same as Hitler (or those who truly believed in what he was doing) would find their days in the Third Reich glorious.
Morals are relative to the person, their culture, and circumstance. Forcing your morals on someone else is something that tends not to work too well as they ultimately will reject those morals or else lose their connection to their culture. Like how the US government bred the Native out of Native Americans by forcing them into schools in which they lost their language, spirituality, etc.
