A lot of factors play into spells "working" or not. It's a matter of what you want to acheive, intent, belief, and faith. This can go for all kinds of spells, including love and whatnot.
But yes, stay away from the Fantasy Spells section.
And remember to use common sense when searching for spells you'd like to use!

If you're serious about learning how to do magic and with starting from the rock-bottom then you don't start out by casting spells, you start out by learning how and why magic works.
You see, there is no such thing as an "easy" spell or a "beginner" spell. One either understands how magic works and has mastered the basics...in which case the magic will work..or you haven't done that sort of work..and no spell will work no matter how "easy" it seems.
Casting a successful spell involves much more than finding some spell on the internet or in a book, saying some words, lighting a candle, waving a wand of any of that sort of thing. In order for magic to work you need to understand how and why it works in the first place. Grounding and centering, visualization, focus and intent, energy manipulation, etc are all necessary first steps to even begin to have a chance at a spell actually working...and more importantly to prevent a spell from back-firing on you.
So, my advice for anyone who is truly serious is to start by reading a few books and practicing the exercises those books will give you. Once you have mastered the basics you won't need anyone to give you spells, you'll be able to create your own spells that will be far more effective than anything you find on the net. Here's the books I suggest:
"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman
"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar
"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson
"Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig
And the following links in this thread will also help you learn the basic skills necessary for effective spellwork.

plenty of spells work, you just need to understand magick and spells to figure out which ones do and which ones don't.
quick list though [keep in mind just because something falls into a 'working spell' category doesn't mean it will work 100% of the time.
working spells: love, luck, wealth, job, protection, curse, healing, cleansing.
non-working spells: transformation, teleportation, levitation, controlling elements, become anything other than human, change gender, body swap, invisibility. anything that you saw in a movie basically.
grey areas: weather, beauty, death spells. these spells are up for personal interpretation. beauty spells are hit and miss, most working spells combine herbal remedies and energy to bring a desired change, but they will not be instant changes. death spells are seen as too much power for a human by some, and as an extreme curse by others. weather is also seen as too much power for a human to possess, while others view it as moving natural forces to bring a desired change.
granted, you should study a bit before trying to cast any spells.
What the above said. I've accomplished more with a candle and some imagination than others do with entire entourages of ritualists.
Magic is weird, not every magical act is a spell, not everything can be done with spells, and any spell can work provided you know the mechanics involved.
Most people simply jump into them not even knowing why the ''don't look back'' clause is there, or that they should forget the ritual ever happen, and it either flops or backfires.
Whether a spell works or not largely depends on you!
What do you know of spells and spell casting?
Is what you are aiming for fantasy? If it is, it won't work.
What of corrospondences? Herbs, gems, colors, moon phases, days of the week. Not everybody uses all of these but many will find at least a few of them useful.
What about some basic concepts such as meditation, grounding, and centering? It gets repeated a lot, I know. But it is very useful! Getting calm and in the right state of mind is important.
completely agree with you from my experience ,, learning and medition and readin till you feel the magick is a central part of your soul ,,, then you creat youe own magick you put your words on the spell you put your touch ,, there is something inside you which whisper to you your own steps to creat the magick art work
first time i cast a spell it moved back to me ,, i was still learning and i wasnt supposed to do that ,, but when in came aginst me i knwe how clever i was and i knew how mush strong magick i put on that spell and that made me knew how much i improved and how clever witch i could be but i still need to learning and study more and get more experience to know how to make it right and how it to send my magick in the right way ,
when you keep learning and reading you are not studing you just build a new part of your spirtual soul
blessed be
