Quick question about visualization for you guys - I feel like I'm not understanding what it is exactly, and I don't know if it's something that I should be able to understand fully (no need to put limits or preconceptions on something that has the potential to be limitless, like many other things I suppose).. Visualization is difficult for me, I believe, because I am trying to physically see something, and I was wondering if this could possibly be due to a lack of focus on the energy that I am working with and a concentration on the more "physical" aspect of the practice? In your experience, is visualization more about "imagination" in a sense? Do you think it has more to do with feeling than seeing? And if so, how can I gear my practice more towards feeling? Would meditation aided by crystals help me tap into feeling the vibrations of the stones and help me visualize better in turn?? Just trying to pinpoint why I'm having such a hard time with it as I know that it is definitely an essential part of witchcraft. Sorry this is all over the place ! Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and I hope someone else can find what they're looking for within this thread as well ! Blessed be, love and light :-)

Nord is right on the money. Once you can do that though, make it as real as possible. Imagine every detail of your house. Not only that, imagine the smell of your house, the feel of the air around it and the sounds around it. The more realistic and accurate you can make your visualization the more effective it is.
Also, if you want to make your visualization and psychic senses more powerful strengthen your physical senses. Learn to be aware of the sounds, smells ad feelings around you. Pay attention and learn to notice things that you would normally not pay attention to. This will increase your level of awareess wich will also increase your higher senses.

Yes. I like to think of it as active imagination. However, rather than letting your imagination indulge flights of fantasy, it is focused on creating your intention, as in your home in the previous example. The imagination is a is a tool which, like all tools, must be developed and refined. Those that do have amazing results. Those that buy into the "I am gifted and don't have to work at things" mindset are usually very disappointed or they venture off into lands of fantasy and fiction.
