I do magic with my hands to achieve energetic conditions/situation of varying complexity.
I use my hands in indescribable ways in maneuvering with my will and create a condition or path or air for the fabric of past, present, or future to follow. It can be difficult to describe. In the time of casting what is felt is: the air/condition I aim to obtain( felt strongly/wholly) and an understanding through feeling of the pieces I must move to achieve the condition.
I wanted to know if any has any experience with this. or questions.
Often I will move my hand over a working at times, such as a lit candle, a jar spell etc.
I do this to add intent and energy into a working often. I use this method for sirecting energy.
Sometimes I can feel certain energies when I do this. Like you had said I find this particularly difficult to describe what is felt. To word it.
I will feel at times the energy of the working. It feels different for each working.
Practicing with this more I feel could help to begin to read these energies, journaling results and feelings pertaining to the method.
I am uncertain if this is the same way you mean when using your own hands.
That has simply been my experience of this.
I have also entertained in the past the idea of physical meditation. Movements and rythyms repeated, to help acheive a trane like state. Some examples of this include yoga, and Sufi dervish whirling.
Sometimes I make hand motions when singing the Witches Rune as offerings or just for general energy-raising. I make gestures depending on the verse I'm saying, and I also pay attention to hands during prayer and offerings to deities.
I personally don't think hand movements are very important in spell-work, but I have a theory:-
When you cast spells, you in a way enter a state beyond your normal ways. I suppose hand movements keep you tethered to the ground in a way. It keeps you grounded, ensuring that you still keep one hand on the ground while the other's still in the sky. This is just my theory, but if you have any others, feel free to share
I find hand movements to also be a way to connect visualization with something physical. For example when energy-working (particularly a healing session) I will wave each hand in turn over the area, visualizing the weak/negative/pained energy being swept away and healing high-vibration energy being channeled in. It is also useful in making a focal point for gathering or building up a presence of abundant energy. (Think psi-balling).
Specific gestures of the hands also symbolise many acts and goals. Holding up a hand, palm out or sweeping a hand through the air to simulate blocking or diverting attack, for example. Raising the arms above the head to 'reach upwards' and connect to external energies. Or vice-versa laying a hand on the ground to draw up energies. Or planting a foot firmly and visualizing planting roots to release excess energy. Or thrusting a hand forward along with a harsh out-breath to project energy and intent outwards.
Any of these actions help combine intent and action into moving meditation, and helps bring the physical and spiritual together. Such activities swiftly become acts of symbolic manifestation. Tai-Chi Chuan (I probably butchered the spelling) is a good example of this. It is all about connecting intent with movement and philosophy. I found some of the ideas to be inspirational in this regard. Same for Qigung.
Something to consider is that humans use their hands for almost every interaction we have with the world around us. Building, fighting, communicating, inventing, loving, hands are really important for our perception and interaction with reality.
Similarly, the hands are focal points of energy and will. The hands have energy points that mirror/connect with the seven major chakra (so do the feet) and also, like the crown and root, function to draw in and project out energy. Many people have one hand that is stronger with moving/projecting energy; typically the dominant hand, and the other hand having more strength in holding, blocking/stopping, or drawing inward energy. Of course in reality both hands have the same potential, but individual preference, perspective and habit affect this. Not unlike how people can be left-handed, right-handed or ambidextrous.
In some belief systems, our will is known to be carried with our very breath. For this reason, most should notice control of their breathe, also aids in control of their wills.. It reminds me of that cartoon Avatar. How the Air benders were all monks. It was because of the fact of how sacred the very air we breathe, really is. Hope this helps. :p
our hands are instruments! more magick like this can be found in kundalini yoga where you use hand signs to manipulate your chakras. as well as qi gong where you do poses and hand movements to again manipulate chakras.
and even psi balls where you gather your energy into your hands form a ball, program it to do anything using a spell, sheild it and release it in a safe place.
its written all over the law of attraction you can do anything if you put your mind to it.
