I have the weird ability to feel peoples thoughts and feelings through touch (occasionally feelings not through touch but from looking) and I'm aware that sounds made up, but I am being genuine. Anyway, the point of me writing this is I was wondering if anyone would have an idea on how to control it? At the moment it's very unpredictable and unreliable and whenever it randomly uses itself I'm left feeling drained and fatigued. One of my friends let me try read them and the longer it went on the bigger headache I got and the more exhausted I felt. If anyone has any idea on what to do to control this or somehow put a block around myself so I'm not slipping into other peoples feelings please let me know

This sounds kind of like being an Empath. One of my friends is an Empath and Clairsentient (being able to feel energy) and she can feel other people's feelings and sometimes thoughts.

She used to get drained very easily unless she wore a necklace for protection but I helped her learn a few shielding techniques which help her feel less drained when she's forgotten her necklace.

So I recommend you learn to shield yourself and do that if you start feeling drained. There are a lot of good shielding spells and articles here that you can learn from.
Lark has one called centering/grounding that's really good on her profile that you can learn from. If you'd like to have something so you don't have to focus on shielding you could get a piece of jewelry and charge it to protect you, that's what my friend did with her pentacle necklace.

And then to control it more, just practice and actively use it like you did with your friend. I got my friend to practice her senses with me and eventually she got really good at controlling it.

Though, you'll definitely wanna use the grounding technique from Lark and others like that to charge yourself back up afterwards and clear your energy to ensure you don't feel drained.

Thank you! My friend who I've talked about it with has tried encouraging me to use it more to get used to it (I hate it when he's right lol)
I'll definitely check out grounding/centering, and I have a specific necklace I do always wear which will be helpful
