Cast salt as you walk around a fairy ring, then bow and chant: "Fairy folk of marsh and heath. Fairy folk of wood and hill. Fairy folk above beneath. Fairies moving, fairies still. I take a bow so help me now".

I was with you until that last line. You can theoretically use this in a fairy circle casting, but if you do not already have an established relationship with the fae I would not start with this chant.
Tadashi fairies aren't real
Fairies are spirits, there are so many different kind of spirits. If you can agree on that then you can also recognize that some spirits are considered to be a fairy.
They may not be physical beings, but I assure you they are very real. I have worked with the Fae since I was small. They are spirits, astral beings, similar to angels and demons. You cannot become one, but you can work with one in your craft to assist in spells, protection and guidance, to name a few.
