Is the green candle optional? I only have red and white.

The color white could be used for any other color. Judging by what it says 'a green candle won't hurt' I am assuming they mean it is optional.

Did this work for anyone ?

If you use enough energy, concentration or belief you'll be just fine. I'd add on to the ingredients to get some extra power into the spell like herbs, incense and oils. Maybe even a gem or 2
