hello i was wondering if someone can explain this to me because i am still uncertain to this day what happened.

when i was young i was in my room and layed down to sleep for bed and remember getting up and going to my window in my room and looking outside and seeing all these "fireballs" flying through the air in the middle of the night i was uncertain exactly what was going on but i was fascinated at the sight of this storm of "fireballs" that was dancing in the skies while seeing this i went to my bedroom door and looked at my sisters room and within seconds i seen a "fireball" crash through my sisters wall and it went around the bed down my hallway and into the floor without the floor setting on fire then i went back to my bed and layed down because i was frightened at the time this happened i was around the age of 6-10 i do not remember exactly when or how old i was and then i was woken up by my mother who had told me that my sisters wall had been struck by lightning from a thunderstorm i still remember to this day every detail of the event but do not understand what happened?
