Or feathers of foresight ... Hello all, this is a little of a sad topic for myself and a curious one, here's some information. Recently a mother hen of mine had a couple of hatching chickens. Now when these little ones were born, they were born in the wrong time of year. Instead of Spring, they were winter babies.

You see for the title, we have sadly lost a couple. From one unfortunately event after another and now only two left standing, ( which I have become highly protective of.) But I have begun to notice something, it started on the day they were born and I thought nothing of it, but it seems to have happen whenever something bad would occur.

Two small grey feathers, would fall from the sky and land on the ground or land close to my feet. (They are the size of a thumb nail.) And every time these two small grey feathers would fall, I would always have a horrible feeling that something bad would happen a need to check on the hatchings. When I didn't listen to my intention, I ended up finding a baby chicken dead in my yard (on the same day.) When I did listen I ended up saving one, from almost being killed by a cat.

What is this? Should I be worried that something with ill attention, is messing with my family (animals are a part of the family for me)? Or should I take this as some sort of blessing? Should I just let it do its cause? Advice would be wonderful, if whatever out there messing with them, they had pushed the last of my buttons and I'm becoming very protective over my hatchings because of it.
