I'm fairly new to this website and the world of magick and casting spells. I want to cast my first spell, but before I do anything like that, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what they do to raise, direct, and release energy? and if anyone could give any tips and tricks to raising energy?

I have another question, and it might sound silly, so I do apologise: but if you're raising energy by repeating an affirmation that correlates with your intent in the spell, but in the spell you are required to say words...do you stop chanting your affirmation once you have raised energy? so then you can direct your energy while chanting your spell?
