Animals are our best friends and sometimes our children when they past it hurts just as much as a human passing over. This is a list of offering for your animals try not to get so caught up in the pain. Most of the time animals just want you to be happy and them seeing you sad over their passing makes them sad.
Cry, but remember to live your life and remember the good times. I've also noticed when it comes to animals passing their is often a new one that comes into people lives. This can be an animal following you home or finding another one. This animal is often picked by your last one to bring joy once more into your lives. Don't think of it as an replacement think of it as your friend legacy to the world.
A list of offerings
Water: Place water either near the animal grave or where it used to eat. This shows the animal soul that it's still welcomed into your house hold even after passing.
Favourite food: goes without saying. Also remember to clean this food up after three or maybe even after that day, so it does not go rotten or bring in bugs. Spirits often drain the energy of the food which is why food offerings look untouched.
A small spot dedicated to the animal: this can be a form of a pillow or where you place the offerings for your pet. This shows that it's still welcome.
Hen food: if your animal was a hen that had past away place a small bowl of hen food near its grave after it has past away.
Bird seed: for birds who have past away.
Light a candle: place your intention into the candle that this is your animal offering for them. Make sure to be near the flame just so, it does not set fire to a home remember fire safety.
Knowing when the animal spirit is around
Like people spirt who stays close to family members after passing animals do so as well. You may find something on your bed. The feeling of a cat or a dog. If it's been a year since the animal passing you may find yourself thinking of the animal name a lot more then you used to.
If it's a rooster. You may hear it's wake up call and question if it was real or not, footsteps and other sounds your pet used to make. You may also find yourself dreaming about your pet. You may be going through a difficult situation and you see your pets in your dreams. Look up the meaning of that animal symbolism and it may have answered your questions.
Just like humans or other spirits offerings there's a long list. This is just a short list of offerings and signs of of your animal being around. Animals bring joys to our lives. Try to live your life to the best of your ability and I can tell you for a fact your animal would be proud that you are moving on.
