WHERE SHOULD I START?!?!?

im so into magic, and im looking forward to compketing a spell so it will actually work. as a beginner in magic, i feel so weak, and im not sure when casters talk about energy for spell, excally wht that energy is? is there anyone who cn guide me through a spell test, or just help me getting started....please and thank u!
