God or gods are matters of beliefs, opinions and religions. Beliefs, opinions and religions cannot be really presented as proven facts.
So basically you cannot really ask people to prove you that any form of higher power (which we call "god" or"goddess" ) from any specific religion.
Asking someone to make you believe in any form of high power, god or goddess is not something that you need to do if you wish to believe in any form of higher and unique power's existence. Such actions are called "preaching" and to be preached is something extremely not recommended since sometimes it can be a brain-wash and might be done against your free will. You do not need anyone to prove you the existence of a higher form of power, this is really not necessary and even not recommended, as I said.
If you wish to believe in a form of higher power (call it god or goddess if you wish), just do it.
If you wish to be an atheist and not to believe in god, goddess or any form of higher power- than do this.
So if you are confused about the existence of higher power and you want someone to "prove" it to you, here is my recommendation for you:
Take your time. Be neutral, do not say a total "no" or "yes, I do". Time is a cure for many particular cases, and i must say that it really suits yours.
Think for yourself "is there any higher form of power" , "should I choose any religion to follow?" , "should I start believing or not?".
As I said, take you time and start thinking what you are going to do. If you decided something, you are always able to change your mind about it and act differently - because you are the one who decides what actions to take and what moves to make.
If you come to the conclusion that currently, following any religion or believing in any form of higher power is not for you - just follow you heart and opinions. If you do decide that you choose to believe, and follow something, then do it. As I said, you can always change your mind.
But as I said- it is about you and your decisions. Do what you will. You do not need anyone to tell you "yes" or "no". You are the one who chooses if to follow unproven and unseen theory and belief system or not.
To be blunt, I do not believe anyone will be able to provide you the proof you want.I personally believe that people experience things for themselves and will come to their own conclusions. If you want to believe that God(s) exist, I would encourage you to personally explore that yourself and find your own proof.
Terry Goodkinds Sword of truth books presents the concept in the Wizards First Rule. "People will bellieve anything either because they want it to be true or they are afraid it might be. You just proved that Gods exist because you stated the very idea that they might be. So if the idea is there then we make it a reality since most concepts are built from imagination and thought. And the idea heeds further thought and maybe fear which makes it all the more real. That's why the theory that if you don't believe it cant hurt you isn't always true. I hope Ive explained well enough.
If you're asking, then you want to believe. You want someone to prove it so you'll have a reason to believe and can rationalize it. But there is no easy way. You must figure out this out on your own. Its a very personal opinion and there is no single answer for it.
Well since you say you want to believe the Gods exist I would suggest looking to those things you find most amazing, mysterious, and seemingly Divine, whatever that is for you. Many people experience things in prayer or meditation, some can find God by observing how purposeful the order and beauty of the universe can seem, and sometimes a spiritual text or symbol can just shake you from the inside.
it depends on what your definition of god is. Its so simple our creator and higher power is our mind itself. It is the creator of all completely in sync with the universe and all dimensions. People who take there minds for granted will never even be able to control themselves. Those who can are able to manipulate what they have created.
Well first off, nothing can prove God exists. God, I believe, works outside of the physical realm and obviously science is the study of the physical world. Therefore, science can never prove anything supernatural.
It's apart of everyone's spiritual path to find God, and to see what God means to them. Me personally, I feel all pathways lead to the same thing. I believe there is a God who is the creator, and full of light and unconditional love.
"Well first off, nothing can prove God exists. God, I believe, works outside of the physical realm and obviously science is the study of the physical world. Therefore, science can never prove anything supernatural."
I challenge this.
I first of all challenge the notion that science is unable to prove things we consider supernatural. Science, as we think of it, is limited to the physical world, but it doesn't have to be. Science is really just the rhyme and reason of the world as understood via organized facts. I find absolutely no reason why we could not conceivably collect verifiable facts about, say, angels, thus someday proving them.
This is not to say that I believe mundane science necessarily will do that, but I truly find no reason why it could not.
I also challenge the idea that God is outside of the physical world. I agree that much of God is seemingly outside of the physical, but where then do answered prayers come from? Invoked deities? Divine experience? In fact, seeing as God is typically understood to be the only thing which used to exist, how can anything be outside of God? If God is all there was then it would stand to reason that all other things are also God, made from God, or are otherwise of God rather than somehow separate from Him.
