crystals and tarot

I've heard that a crystal can enhance a tarot reading. I seem to get accurate readings without one. Does anyone else use crystals with tarot? Thoughts?

I just started tarot and I haven't tried using a crystal but I do believe it would enhance it and I'm all for trying it c:

Crystals may aid a person in divination however they are not a must. The crystal ball is used in conjunction with the Tarot as a scrying device which can help the seeker fine tune the information or see further on the subject. Pendulums are often made from a crystal or stone as well and again can be used in conjunction with the cards. Some crystals and stones are used to help create sacred space to practice the divination within. They can also help with the energies within this space by cleansing out negativity and drawing more positive energy in. It is really a matter of personal choice whether one uses one tool or multiples during their divination.

Also, how exactly would you use the crystal? Just sit it near or ??
