I was thinking about making my own tarot deck, but I don't know what materials I should use for it. Specifically paper, what would you suggest?

You can make your own tarot deck. You would need to write a description "book" of what they would mean, or even write a few sigils on your personalized deck to give the cards "power". Try these sites. Best wishes and blessings!

You may also want to consider reading with a normal deck of cards. Just as effective and easily personalizable in terms of meaning. There are a few good books on this, one is: "Reading With Old Style Conjure Cards" by Starr Casas. Tho not specific to playing cards certainly applicable. I'm sure there a re a few good websites as well.
