Divination Methods

So I wants to know your guy's divination methods. I've heard of the pendulum method, and I've heard of spin the rose method for visions. I've even heard of the archery method, where the arrow is shoot blindly and goes to a target resembling an answer.

And a question to ask, would receiving a vision count as divination?

Divination, in essence, is the process of foretelling the future. Thus, a vision of the future could therefore be considered another form of divination, I suppose, if you wanted to look at it in that manner.


I use Ceromancy. It is a method of divination involving dropping melted wax into cool/cold water. You allow some of the candle wax to melt and then upon dropping it into the water, the wax forms into various shapes. These shapes can then be used for divination purposes just as the shapes read in tea leaves or the pictures on tarot cards.

My method of ceromancy involves thinking of my question. I hold the candle in my hands while doing so, and then when I am ready, I light the wick and allow the wax to melt. I then drop it into the water and wait for the shapes to take form. Whatever shapes come out, I use my dream dictionary, folklore associated with the shapes, and online resources for ceromancy shapes to determine what each means. I've found this method to be very useful and fun for divination purposes and use it rather often.

i like it too! have you tried downsing rods? i just made a pair. not as fun but works for me. i also use pendulums.

My main divination is Cartomancy. Similar to Tarot Card reading, but with playing cards instead. Common spreads like the Celtic Cross spread and Past-Present-Future spread I do when I am need of guidance.

As for recieving a vision counting as divination, I would say that if you recieve this vision in like a dream, for example and it ends up coming true sooner or later, that would be more like prophetic dreaming. Otherwise I believe it would be a form of divination.
